Privacy Policy

Effective May 25, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026

The short version

Groove Home is a family chore app. A parent creates one account for the whole family; children don’t have their own accounts. We collect only what’s needed to run the app — the parent’s email, the names, emoji and colors, and the chores, rewards, and chore photos you add, and a few technical basics. We don’t sell your data, we don’t show ads, and we don’t track you or your children across other apps or websites. You can edit your information any time, and you can permanently delete your account and all of its data from inside the app.

1. Who we are

Groove Home (“Groove Home,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a mobile application operated by Product One, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Groove Home iOS app. If you have questions, contact us at support@groovehome.app.

2. Who uses the app

Groove Home is designed to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian (an adult). The parent creates a single account for the family and adds profiles for their children. Children do not create accounts, do not sign in with an email, and do not provide any personal information to us. A parent or guardian sets up and controls the account; within the app, a child can personalize their own avatar (an emoji and color). The parent area of the app is protected by a PIN that the parent sets.

3. Information we collect

We only collect information needed to provide the app. Specifically:

Account information (provided by the parent):

Family profile information (entered by the parent):

Content you create in the app:

What we do not collect:

4. How we use your information

We use the information above only to:

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any form of cross-app or cross-site tracking.

5. Children’s privacy

We take children’s privacy seriously and have designed the app to minimize data about children:

If you believe we have inadvertently received personal information from a child other than through a parent’s account, please contact us at support@groovehome.app and we will delete it.

6. How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only in these limited ways:

7. Where your data is stored and how we protect it

Your data is stored using Supabase’s cloud infrastructure. We protect it with measures including:

No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.

8. How long we keep your data

We keep your information for as long as your family account is active. When you delete your account (see below), we permanently delete your account and its associated data — including family profiles, chores, rewards, activity records, and chore photos.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA (for example, the right to access, correct, or delete your data). To exercise any of these, contact us at support@groovehome.app.

10. Camera and photo permissions

If you choose to add a photo, the app will ask your permission to use your device’s camera and/or photo library. These permissions are used only to let you take or select a photo to attach to a chore. You can decline, and you can change these permissions at any time in your device’s Settings.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Effective date” above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.

12. Contact us
